Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT or tapping)

Emotional Freedom Technique is a simple method based on the idea that all negative emotions are due to a disruption in the energy system. Therefore, by removing the disruption, you can get rid of the negative emotion. This method is so simple you can learn it in one session - and then use it anywhere and everywhere you have an emotional glitch. You can also try it on your physical problems - many have done so with good results.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) harmonises the body's energy system, providing release from emotional and physical pain. The process involves tapping on the energy meridians of the body while tuning into a personal problem. It works by balancing the energy system, removing disturbances to the energy flow.

EFT was developed in the USA by Gary Craig from Dr. Roger Callahan's 'Thought Field Therapy'. It has its roots in Applied Kinesiology and Acupuncture.

It is used by hundreds, if not thousands, of professional therapists in the USA and is now becoming a world-wide phenomenon. Why? Because it is simple, painless and effective. The technique has proven to be highly successful in releasing emotional pain. It has also been used and found to be effective in relieving physical pain.
